Much of the couples work I do involves the balancing of household labor in a way that feels equitable. This video gives insight into some of the common barriers to doing so.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a helpful framework to apply for couples where tensions are consistently high, and perhaps even when other modes of couples therapy have proven ineffective

We’ll focus intently on the role validation plays in communication, and pay equal attention to what is being said as how messages are delivered.
A core component of this area of therapy involves learning to give and receive feedback in such a way that strengthens resolve toward shared goals - rather than being received as a character-based attack or take-down.
